You know, if I had stumbled onto this a few weeks ago, I could've crammed it into my last "Things I'm Loving" post. But it's so awesome, it deserves a post of its own, really. And more people need to be made aware of this cartoon and show it some love.

I'm talking about the show my new default icon is from. "Regular Show."

Yeah, it's one of those shows you may enjoy more if you're high. But you guys know my sense of humor. I love it. Go check it out.

California Baby bath & body products. If you're like me and wanting to make a more organic switch in your hygiene routine, I definitely recommend this line. They're primarily marketed for babies and children, but adults can use this stuff as well. I'm loving the hair de-tangler and "Overtired and Cranky" bubble bath. (It includes a bubble wand for extra fun!) Target offers some of their products, but I've seen a bigger offering at Bed Bath and Beyond, and you can always order from their website as well.

This next one you have to say like Derek Zoolander's fellow model pals in Zoolander:
"Mocha Coconut Frappuccinos!!"
"Rich mocha sauce and coconut-flavored syrup blended with coffee, fresh milk, and ice. Topped with sweetened whipped cream, mocha drizzle and toasted coconut flakes." And if you know me, I'm a sucker for anything coconut. Just.....YUM.

And if you don't dig on blended coffee drinks, they are now offering a Coconut Créme blended drink without coffee. Kind of like a milkshake, but more like a smoothie. I grabbed one on the way home from work yesterday. Ahhhhhhhhhhh. I hope Starbucks keeps these year-round and it's not seasonal. (I always lament the end of the holidays when they stop carrying their Peppermint Mochas. Yeah, CoffeeMate now offers their peppermint mocha creamer year-round, but it's just not the same as actually getting the REAL THING from Starbucks.)

********
The Brita Filter Bottle! I picked one up last week. I got it primarily because I don't want to waste money on bottled water anymore and keep contributing that waste to the environment. I feel this does its job pretty well. I paid about ten dollars for it at Target, but one filter lasts about 20 gallons/2 months, and you just have to fill it with regular tap water.

The Casey Anthony trial is FINALLY over. Now I can tear myself away from the TV and enjoy the lovely weather! HLN and Nancy Grace no longer own my soul!

I ONLY HAVE ONE CAR PAYMENT LEFT!!!

"Shame on me....to need release....uncontrollably...."

Alpocalypse own my soul about now. I love Weird Al so much. :D Can't wait for a Merrillville date on this tour.

It's a "Things Holly's Loving Right Now" post!

--The casting of Tom Hardy as Bane and Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle in the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises: Okay, the fact that BANE will be in the next Batman film already has me psyched up beyond belief!!

And people need to quit bitching about Anne Hathaway. I've never really had a problem with her, and Christopher Nolan is known for unconventional casting (hey, at least he didn't go with the very obvious Megan Fox or Angelina Jolie). And it's never really stated that she will be Catwoman in the casting, so it's possible her role as Catwoman will be downplayed like how Aaron Eckhart was being pushed mainly as Harvey Dent and no real mention of him as Two-Face was brought up.

And let's not forget how slightly disappointed I was when I saw Heath Ledger in that half-assed Joker makeup. Have faith, my friends.

--Everyone here will probably kill me for saying this, but I am really, really digging that new Britney Spears single!!

I haven't been this excited for something from Britney Spears for a LONG time. Now I can't wait for the music video. (I'm loving the bass and the dubstep!)

--Kiss My Face Peaches and Creme Ultra Moisturizer. Someone listed this as a recommendation over at the [livejournal.com profile] beauty101 community. Actually, one of the first recommendations was this stuff from Lush, but I checked the price of that and was all, "NOPE. Out of my price range." But we actually sell this Kiss My Face stuff at my job. A 16 fl. oz. bottle was a little over $10, and a bit pricey, but it's a big bottle. I've been using it for a week, and I'm already noticing a difference. My red spots from leftover zits are fading! YAY!

--Bath and Body Works' new tropical bodycare range. LOVING IT LIKE A FAT KID LOVES CAKE. And apparently, a lot of people I work with love how the Hawaii Coconut smells, too! Natasha said it reminds her of her vacation to Mexico, and Derek said it smells like one of the girls' fragrances at Hollister. Which he likes because I guess his girlfriend wears stuff like that. :) Next paycheck, I'm probably going to go back and stock up because HELLZ YEAH!! (The Bali Mango smells absolutely delicious, too!)

--The Last Exorcism. Kevin and I rented this last week and we really liked it! Cut for spoilers )

Like I said, very well pulled off. If you're looking for a good horror movie, and if you missed it in theaters, I recommend it.
hollybrooke: (Barbie can't help it)
What am I loving right now? Following Barbie on Twitter.

I'm serious, this is actually fun. Barbie has a Twitter account, and she frequently updates it. *hee hee*

But what's even cooler is that Barbie's making it interactive, too. There's this new toy out called Barbie Video Girl, and it's essentially a Barbie doll with an actual video camera in it. Barbie will make a post about what city or town she's in for the day and drop hints and video clips where you can find her, and if you can find the Barbie Video Girl doll out and about, you win! I don't know what you win, but it's been fun keeping up with it.

I think it's a pretty neat way for Mattel to keep Barbie fresh and modern. I'm tempted to buy myself a Barbie Video Girl doll. :D

So, well, here we go!:

Yes, Urban Decay cosmetics have been around for a good while, but I've just now gotten around to actually using their products. See, I'm very leery about buying cosmetics online. I like to see the actual product for myself, so I can test the color on my skintone and check out the consistency of the product. Alas, the nearest Sephora store is all the way in Chicago, which is a two-hour drive. (And you also have to figure in gas prices, plus the parking fees alone, and then add in sales tax over there, which is the highest in the USA.) Imagine my delight when I took a trip to Ulta the other day and discovered that.....they sell Urban Decay!!

Why the F*ck Do You Have a Kid?
Just click on the link to see for yourself. It's in the same sort of vein as This is why you're fat. It'll make you laugh and cry and groan, maybe all three.

Jabo0dy Dubs
Hunter had me go to this YouTube channel shortly after Billy Mays died. These guys mainly dubbed over nearly all of Billy's commercial spots, and the results are hilarious.

CHEESE

I love cheese. Love it, love it, love it. It's probably my biggest diet downfall. I used to joke around that you could put cheese on anything--even a doorknob--and I'd eat it. One year in high school, my friend Carol got me a big wedge of cheese and a box of Triscuits as a gag birthday present. One of the best presents I ever got.

Mystery Science Theater 3000

I love movies. I even love bad movies. More importantly, I love making fun of bad movies. Even more so since I started watching MST3K back in high school. It fueled my love for going to midnight showings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Calligraphy

(I have the exact same set.) I've dabbled in calligraphy since I was a kid. It's fun. People tell me I have nice handwriting, so I like to make my writing look even prettier. I kind of want to learn it a little more in detail, and I'd like to make a side job out of it, doing calligraphy on commission for events like weddings or sweet sixteens or the like.

Tea Parties

You never really hear of anyone having them anymore, unless they're little girls playing with dolls, or older ladies of society, or Southern debutantes. And the British, of course. Tea parties fascinate me. The tradition, the atmosphere, the treats, the place settings....everything seems so dainty and refined.

I plugged [livejournal.com profile] bri_chan's artwork on her deviantArt account, but THIS is officially my new favorite online comic:

When Curiosity Met Insanity

Just go check it out, if you're an Alice in Wonderland fan. It's adorable, there's stuff on there that's not on the deviantArt account, and THIS particular panel kept me smiling and busting into giggles all throughout work tonight:

Yep. My mind's in the gutter. *chuckles to self*

*tangent* Which reminds me, I've really, really gotta get back in the swing of things with "Starbright Continued" and "Only Me and the Music." (And at "Cosmic Moon" as well.) At Starbright, Elle is waiting for a response from either Pizzazz or Poppy, which means I'm waiting for Carmen to respond to either of those posts. And I feel like I'm getting NOWHERE with Rio/"Ace." Poor guy is still in a wheelchair and can't do much of anything. I keep getting told to have him interact with Craig Phillips, but no one's playing Craig right now, so what the hell?! It's like nobody wants to play with me, and that makes me a sad and lonely Holly.

*pouts* Won't somebody play with me?

http://www.brightideas.com
I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this website a few times on here, but they've revamped the site a bit. Yes, the site is sponsored by M&Ms/Mars, and uses a lot of their products in their recipes, but they have some of the cutest, most clever treats I've seen.

Such as this, which I plan on making this year:

Sharpie Markers

If I could use these for everyday use, that would be AMAZING. Well, I could, but it wouldn't work very well at work.

Dita Von Teese. She's just fabulous.
