drugs are bad, mmmkay?

hollybrookeTonight when I got to work, I assigned my OWN drawer and worked exclusively off of it for the whole night. When Crystal got to deassigning it and counting it down, I came out to be short by ONE WHOLE PENNY. So yeah...Crystal and I have both agreed that we all need to start working on our registers by ourselves because multiple people working off of one register is pretty much ASKING for a shortage.
However, later on Sarah (the new girl we had a week or so ago who quit on account of Danielle's shitty behavior) dropped in mainly to pick up her one paycheck and turn in her Blockbuster shirt, and to catch up with Crytstal. Now I hate to gossip or really blurt out too much, seeing as how I really don't want to get involved...but I guess one night when Sarah was working with Danielle, Sarah noticed tracks on Danielle's arms as if she had been doing some hard drugs. Sarah asked about it because she was curious, and I guess Danielle said something about having experimented with heroin "just one time," she says. I'm sure. If this was a couple of weeks ago, why the hell is she still coming in to work with long sleeved shirts under her Blockbuster uniform? Could account for her erratic mood swings; one day she can be a major bitch, the next she can be super-sweet and chipper. And later on (at least when Sarah was still working there), I guess Danielle's been re-poking at the spots where she's been shooting up and complaining about how hard it is to redo the hole. DUMBASS. Okay, I know from experience having had quite a few blood transfusions and blood tests done in my past (I was in and out of hospitals a LOT when I was a kid) that they have to feel around for a spot in your vein that's not been hardened; you can't reuse the same spot over and over.
I've been tempted to try to group up Crystal and Nikki and get them to call Danielle out on this, stage an intervention or something because let's face it--DRUGS ARE BAD. However, I think I know the reason Sheri's holding out on firing her: if Danielle is axed, then it's just me, Crystal, Nikki and Sheri. I don't know why Sheri won't just hire someone else to train (too many extra man hours?). But you know, is it worth it to keep Danielle around so the work schedule won't be so insane (even though she tries to weasel her way out of working all the time) and deal with her drugged-induced mood swings?
I wish Sheri would just demote her or something.
