I got this DVD set of retro commercials from Borders for $5, and it brings me so much glee, you have no idea. Here are some of the commercials on the set that I was able to find on YouTube:
Yeah right, like you can get any kid to eat Grape Nuts. I tried them once as a kid and automatically hated them. There were no grapes and no nuts in it! WTF?!
Here's a classic:
Ew, who would want to drink V8 with their Cheerios? NOT ME!
OMG, a Hi-Fi! And cardboard furniture!
Sirry Chinese baby, you can't eat Jerr-O with chopsticks!
What, so mothers aren't ladies? And you'll never find a cereal that's just straight-up SUGAR anymore. (That commercial made me laugh so hard the first time I watched it.)
LOL, commercials just aren't clever like this anymore! "A little pie with your Cool-Whip?"
....So how will the vending machine work in the middle of NOWHERE?

(btw, thanks for your RHPS advice - I had a great time!)

I think my favorite one was the Marlboro one where the dad is with his kid in the park, lighting up, throws his empty cigarette box on the ground, and the kid picks it back up, and the dad turns it into a "toy boat," never once taking the damn cigarette out of his mouth around his poor son. So many things wrong with that commercial by today's standards, LOL.
