Her new single, now that she's "all better" (what a joke; she's still got a long way to go), is now on the airwaves.

"Womanizer" is not bad. It's not all that great, but it's catchy. It's danceable. It's considerably better than that "Gimme More" and "Piece of Me" shit. I'll wait to hear the next single before I decide I want to buy it.

....I'm sorry, but I didn't get all of the hype behind Blackout. I felt a lot of it was overproduced tripe because Britney was too busy being batshit crazy and avoiding being a parent partying it up to get in the studio and really be more involved besides laying down some vocals. There were three tracks I liked, but the rest was not all that great. Good club music, but not Britney's best effort.

To me, I think a lot of people say, "BUT IT WAS SOOO GOOD!" because they felt so bad for Britney having such a tragic year, what with the head-shaving and the massive freakout that landed her in the looney bin. Blame the paparazzi, blame Sam Lutfi, blame her mama, blame her little sister for getting knocked up and garnering some attention for herself, or blame Britney's own stupid insecurities that allowed herself to turn into such a trainwreck in the first place. I don't know. I don't feel entirely sympathetic towards her. I still believe she brings a lot of this crap on herself.

And oh yeah, I will be buying Lynne Spears' book, even though I feel Lynne is a money-grubber who's still latching onto both of her daughters as a meal ticket. There's dirt in them thar pages!

but it was good! and this is coming from someone who, while a britney fan, wasn't all up in her ass and making excuses for her. but at the very least, Freak Show, Toy Soldier & Radar were great. As was Why should I be sad and the un-used track 'State of Grace'

but yes to Womanizer. I really do love it, but not because it's this revolutionary good song. it's fun and really danceable.

I dunno though. I think she's trying to really move forward this time, and we haven't seen any off the wall behaviour for months. Still, things like regular overhead antagonizing from the paparazzi can't be a help. I think she needs to move away from hollywood ot a smaller town in california or something so she can really get completely better.

I didn't buy Blackout because the whole album got leaked on the KISS station in Chicago the day before it went on sale, so I taped it. I'm not saying the entire album was bad. I felt there were only three listenable tracks on there--"Toy Soldier," "Heaven on Earth" and "Break the Ice." Everything else, to me, just sounded overproduced to make up for the lack of effort Britney put into the album. It's good club music, I'll give that. From my standpoint, it was all right, but it could've been better. Especially if Britney had done some proper promotion for it.

And you're right. She just needs to move out of Los Angeles if she wants to avoid any more problems with the paparazzi.

oh yeah! i actually like the demos for a lot of the songs better, beccause they had less busyness to them and were simplier {look up 'your' (heaven on earth demo) & 'Got me high' (perfect Lover demo)}
