so I'm considering becoming an egg donor

There's an ad in the Chronicle (the Purdue Cal student paper) for egg donors. They're paying a minimum of $7,000 to egg donors. And I'm getting pretty desperate because I've been putting in job applications like nuts and the only people who have contacted me in the last six months about a job has been Strack's...and we all know how well this job is working out for me. *sticks a finger down her throat*

Here's what bothers me about this. This is one of my eggs from one of my ovaries. I know I currently don't have a boyfriend, but some day I would like to get married and maybe have a kid. If I donated one of my eggs, someone else would be having my baby.

But it's $7,000 minimum.

It's like wanting to be a Playmate, but you're not sure just how far you'll go to be Playmate of the Year. Would you ride Hugh Hefner's wrinkly winkie for $25,000 just to be naked in the magazine? ($100,000 for PMOY?)

...Still debating this egg issue.

I tell you, this is the year I had financial setbacks out the ass. There are only two months left of this year. I sure as hell hope 2008 turns out better than 2007 has. If I have a major goal, it's to be moved out by the time Hunter graduates in June.

Egg donation can be a very wonderful thing, but it is also very time consuming. We're talking months. You have to have your cycle completely stopped. Then you're put on fertility drugs and monitored. And then there is frequent medical testing. Just be sure you are willing to give up a few months of your time to do this.
