The whole Chris Benoit murder/suicide thing...

Would this be a big thing masterminded by Vince McMahon to get more people to tune in to WWE programming?

Think about it. Vince knew the fans wouldn't buy the "death/memorial of Vince McMahon" storyline. He knew fans weren't happy with the direction things were going with him overtaking ECW the way that he did in the last few months.

And something like this does sound like the plot of a "Law and Order" or "CSI" episode...

I wouldn't put it past Vince McMahon to pull a stunt like this to get people to tune in. When he bought out WCW, it made news.

I would hate to think he would be that calculating, but...I don't know what to think anymore. I hope it's not just some plot to get people to watch.

It seems a bit extreme, even for him. Frankly, if I found it was fake, I'd probably never watch any of the WWE again, I'd be so pissed off. You don't fake the death of a 7-year old for ratings.

When they tried pulling off the Kane/Katie Vick/rape storyline, that was an automatic turnoff, and I think there was plenty of outrage from fans regarding that one.

See, in the last couple of weeks, when Vince tried killing himself off, he went as far as to hire actors to play federal investigators to make it seem "real." That was just an insult to my intelligence.

I wasn't even aware of Vince's "death" until Monday. My TV happened to be on USA when RAW was starting, and they ran that commercial about Vince being dead.

Two seconds later, I see him standing in the middle of the ring.

I was fuckin' confused for a minute there. o_O

I don't know why they were going to do a "Vince is dead" storyline. I hadn't been watching much prior to that happening when his limo blew up or whatever. However, Vince is getting up in age, so if he was getting ready to retire, it would've been a good way to write him off.

Yeah, that's like one of two things I could see them doing with him being "dead." Either as a good bit for him to retire with, or perhaps when he's "dead" some jerk that's even worse than he is takes over (like, zomg, THEY were the one that killed him).

And then Vince comes out of nowhere and breaks their neck. lolz.

Yeah...this story just keeps getting more bizarre.

Oh, man, if that's true, if all this is a ruse...that's seriously fucked. And McMahon is too; the law, as screwy as it is, won't let him get away with that.

See, there is a certain boundary you can push regarding the law getting involved. It's similar to how the Jerry Springer show got tamed down after Chicago cops said that if such brawls like that were happening on his show, people would be getting arrested for assault and battery.

I highly doubt that my theory is true, I'm just messing around, but I seriously wouldn't put it past Vince McMahon to pull something like that. I mean, the man challenged Donald Trump to shave his head if his wrestler didn't win at WrestleMania.
