still working out the kinks in my life...

Now that Patti's taking over the store manager duties around the place, she & I did a LOT of cleaning out, mainly in the "customer issues/hold" cabinet. Patti made some remark, mainly asking me why we were accepting so many expired coupons & free orange gumballs when we aren't supposed to. I told her that we were just accustomed to doing it. I told her I knew that she & Dave frowned down about that sort of stuff, & I told her about how Sheri bitched at me for telling certain regular customers I couldn't accept more than one entertainment book coupon per month, & how she got just went ahead & let kids get more than one free orange gumball rental when they come in with handfuls of quarters & save them on their accounts, & especially how she bitched at me the one time she told me to go through the hold cabinet & I called so-&-so customer & they subsequently called Sheri back & bitched at HER about ME calling THEM. Patti said, "That's weird...Dave says that Sheri would never do stuff like that." I told her, "Ask Crystal. She knows, too."
See, Crystal would agree with me about this stuff, because it's been going on for AGES. But if Patti confronted Sheri about it, it'd be her word over ours, & she could very well easily lie about it.
Hell, I'm telling Patti the truth!
In other news, just flat-out not happy today. Definitely will be closing out my checking account with my bank. They screwed me over BIG TIME. They told me a check went through when it didn't. I HAD A BAD CHECK GO THROUGH WITH MY CAR PAYMENTS. Now I owe DOUBLE this payment when the stupid bank told me the check went through, & they proceded to charge me for it anyway. To hell with this crap. NOW I have to ask my mom for money to help me with this double car payment, which I don't want to have to do because it's humiliating & it's me admitting defeat, having to ask my parents for help. I intend on paying Mom back, sure...might take a couple of months if I figure I pay her $100 per paycheck (and save some to keep making car payments). God, I need a new job.
I haven't been able to keep up on it too much since everytime I've sat down at the computer this week to make a post on what's going on with the family coming up for, well, family-stuff, we get another call on the computer & I have to disconnect & my posts therefore never get through. (Curses to having a dial-up connection!) Well, Thursday morning, Aunt Ruth died. Today was the wake & visitation, & tomorrow's the funeral. I had to work today, so I wasn't able to go to the wake. I'll be at the funeral tomorrow. And Mom & I hate to be mean about it, but we're taking a camera & taking pictures of her corpse. We thought it was extremely tacky & rude when they whipped out the cameras at Aunt Pam & Amber's funeral, so we'll see how they like it. I loved Aunt Ruth & everything...she was one of my favorite relatives...but I just can't stand my relatives on that side of the family!
