Some good news. My dad got a birthday card from my grandmother. Normally, she sends him something like fifty bucks or something like that, but not this year. She sends him a check for $1,500. She never sends him anything like that. She enclosed some note saying that if it weren't for my uncle, she wouldn't be able to have that money and she knew we needed it more than she did. She's been doing a lot of thinking about Uncle Ken lately. Not so much about Aunt Pam and Amber--Uncle Ken. I have, too, actually. I wish he were still around so I could ask for his advice for just about everything that's been bothering me lately--mainly about college and jobs and stuff.

But I don't know what Mom and Dad plan on doing with the money. Truth is, we really needed this money. I think Mom has been hinting on wanting a digital dish and we just get rid of the satellite with which we get barely any good channels anymore since they're all converting to digital. Frankly, I think we should just save it. I can't think of anything we're in dire need of. Well, I can, but that's something for me to pay.

Also, more shit with the insurance. They keep sending an adjustment on Mom's car and not mine, dammit. I would like that insurance adjustment so I know what I have to pay when it's due. It's due very soon. This is ridiculous.
