ahhh...creativity runs rampant

I got started writing another short story! It's more of a fanfic, but I'm pretty impressed with myself. It's about time I started getting more active with this stuff instead of letting my brain rot. But I ended up writing about something I'm familiar with, and it was relatively easy to get the point across.
It's still kind of early. I need more coffee.
You know what a pet peeve of mine is? When people call me "kiddo." I remember Dale used to do that when I worked at Wilco. Yeah, I know that was when I was 18 and still in high school, but it always bothers me that I look younger than what I am. I'm not a kid, dammit!
Yes, short post. Today I might stop by Spencer's and see if I can switch shifts with someone on Saturday so I can take the morning shift. I don't want to be working Saturday night and have that get in the way of the fun goings-on later on in the evening. Or maybe Jan will let me come in earlier and get off earlier, like if I worked from noon to seven or something. I'll leave a note or see if she's working about it.
**edit: I did so today. I managed to wrangle the 1 to 7 p.m. shift. It wasn't hard to do at all. (*Sashays herself around like she's Miss Thang* "I am so great, I am so great, everybody loves me, I am so great...")
I got this off of recorderjonny's LiveJournal:

You are the orange line. You're a hard worker,
though a bit rough around the edges. You hang
out at the airport a lot, but you're not going
on any trips; you're more like the guy who
sells hot pretzels on the concourse, or maybe
the guy who drives the luggage around the
tarmac.
Which Chicago 'El' line are you?
