hollybrookeThis is kind of a long one, so I'm utilizing an LJ cut here...read if you wanna know what's bugging me:
So I didn't work yesterday because I was at Six Flags. However, I got a phone call while I was gone from work from Danielle of all people. She was probably going to bug me to come in and fill in for her. I know for a fact I didn't have to work yesterday because I wasn't scheduled all week (save for those days I was supposed to be in for jury duty, which as we all read was the biggest hassle and waste of a tank of gas). It kind of bugs me because whenever anyone wants to try to get out of working their shift, they automatically call me and expect me to take it and use whatever means possible to try to get me to cover for them when I usually have plans. It doesn't help that we don't have a large staff (Sheri, Crystal, Danielle, me, Nikki and Tiffany the new girl). Also, I'm getting even more pissed over the obvious push Danielle's gotten with her promotional stuff over me. She's now an official key holder, and she was promoted THREE WEEKS after starting. And I'm still nowhere, I don't think Sheri's thrilled with how I closed on the one night I had to close all by myself, even though I have my raise. And I don't know what the hell it was, but after Team America when Hunter and I stopped in to get our rentals for the night, Danielle like she had major attitude with me, probably because ooh, I didn't have to work that night and she was stuck there. TOUGH SHIT. I had to work the previous Saturday from 12 to 8:30, nonstop behind the register with a fucking broken safe. So if she expects me to fill in for her, tough shit.
And the thing is, I'm kind of resenting putting in the word for her to get hired because she's been kind of pushy, like she's really working her way up but there's something I just don't like about this...I can't put my finger on it. So...yeah, time for Holly to start looking for new employment unless this situation clears up. I might go have a talk with Sheri about it today because it's kind of ruining my morale (I have to drop off Dawn of the Dead anyway).
Things just have to change. I'm having a bit of a turning point here. I caught Mom going though my mail the other day (for no reasy whatsoever, the nosy bitch), so I'm probably going to have to get my own post office box now to protect my privacy. I'm probably also going to have to switch banks because I don't like the fact that I've had my savings account since I was in high school and needed Mom to co-sign for that account so her name's on there as well. Plus...I know for a fact that my bedroom windows were shut before I left for Six Flags yesterday. I get home and they're cracked open. Not just the storm window, but also the one over the screen. For what reason, I have no fucking clue. I asked Hunter if he opened it (since I said he could watch Dawn of the Dead while I was out yesterday), and he said he didn't do anything like that. So the only other person was Mom. I don't like her going in there without my permission. And if she thinks she can go in my room and smoke her pot while I'm not around, she's got another thing coming.
So on my list of things to buy? New doorknob for my bedroom door with a key so I can keep it locked while I'm out.
On a lighter nore, Six Flags was fun. I was kind of disappointed that more people from cast didn't go. It was just me, Fester and Chris from our cast, and a few people from Midnight Madness. Hell, Casey didn't even go and he was the one who orchestrated this whole thing. I'm disappointed because we've only got a couple of months left with the Crossroads Cinema (so it looks like) and I'd like to be able to savor whatever moments we can get left not only as a cast but being with friends before we're forced to go back to having somewhat normal (?) lives.
