Story-wise, it's been pretty original, but lots of clichés: sullen teenage daughter (and whacked out BF) that the parents don't understand, "see no evil, hear no evil" in the basement, phones in the house being swiped before an attack (it's in the second ep), the mother is an insecure weak mess, killing someone and somehow they're still alive (I won't give away any spoilers, but...), the dad keeps seeing the maid as a hot piece of ass but "no one else believes him", the crazy disfigured guy who keeps warning the dad about what will happen if he stays, he's already been shitty to his wife once and can't redeem himself, the "Mommie Dearest" crap going on with the neighbor and her special needs daughter...
But clichés aside, it's been pretty good at being a total mind-fuck. (The crap with the maid....this week had me going "WHAAAAT?!" I won't give anything away, but yeah.)
