not to take her side, but, if she wants to do massage therapy, there's nothing wrong with it. i see his point, but why should she waste money on a 4 year degree if it's not what she wants. my sister in law was working in the business world for 20 years, had been enrolled part time in massage therapy school, and then got laid off. she couldn't be happier doing massage.

as for the marriage/kid thing, i'm with you on that.
