Mom's still in shock about it

So Mom wakes up this morning, and she's all, ".........Who died yesterday?"


I'm all, "Uh...besides Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson?"


Mom's like, "Damn...I thought it was just a terrible nightmare. He really is gone, isn't he?"

Yeah, Mom, I'm still pretty shaken up about it, too. :(

Aw :(

I called my mother Thursday night to talk about other stuff, and in the way our conversations go, I had started to get perturbed and short with her. She asked me something along the lines of "Anything else exciting going on?" and I said, "No, just that and the dead people." She had been in bed sick all day and had no idea that either Farrah or Michael had died. She didn't have any reaction to that news beyond shock (not that I expected her too--I grew up in a white, southern, grand-parent headed family).
