If you're worried about accidentally exposing yourself (and don't already have any pasties handy), my advice would be to wear something like bandaids or electrical tape over your nipples (unlike other forms of tape, electrical tape doesn't hurt that much when you take it off). That way, if the top doesn't cooperate you'll at least still be legal.
