hollybrooke: (ONTD is Jericho)

So last night was WrestleMania 24. Spoilers behind the cut!

JBL won over Finlay. I have no idea where they're going with that storyline. Frankly, why didn't they just push Kennedy as Vince's (not?) "bastard son" like they were originally going to?

CM Punk won the Money in the Bank match. I say, WHY? I think he still needs a little more time before he gets the push you associate with winning a Money in the Bank match. Very upset Chris Jericho didn't win. But once you think about it, he got the Intercontinental Title by default because Jeff Hardy's in rehab. I still think they're giving Jericho a raw deal, but give him time. I'll get to that later. However, for a Money in the Bank match, it was a good one. (I liked pulling off the Walls of Jericho on the ladder...even though it was a waste of time.)

For the ECW Title, Chavo Guerrero was up against the winner of the battle royal from earlier in the evening, which was Kane. Kane won that title, and it took him all of five seconds. WTF was up with that?

Playboy's BunnyMania match....who really cares who won that match? Ashley and Maria versus Melina and "The Glamazon" Beth Phoenix. Phoenix and Melina won, but it was all about ass 'n titties; let's be honest. I'm over the interpromotional shit with Playboy at this point because it's almost nothing to throw a young, nubile Diva in Playboy as a centerfold anymore. And the feminist in me is saying, "Why is everyone applauding Maria for ditching her overprotective 'boyfriend' to get nekkid for a soft porn magazine? No boyfriend wants their girlfriend getting nekkid for anyone other than them, so Santino's annoyance, to me, was justified."

Ric Flair versus Shawn Michaels. Okay...everyone knew this was going to be Ric Flair's last match, regardless of the outcome. I would've rather seen Flair win that match and go out on the top of his game. But it was a dignified (and predictable) match. At least Flair didn't job to someone like Randy Orton. BUT ONTO RANDY ORTON LATER!

Batista won over Umaga. That was actually a pretty good match.

The Triple Threat Match--Triple H vs. John Cena vs. Randy Orton. BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE NIGHT. First of all, why was this not pushed as the main event?! Second o all...WHY THE HELL DID THEY BRING JOHN CENA BACK TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS MATCH IF RANDY ORTON WAS GOING TO WIN IT ANYWAY?!!!!!! I frickin' hate Orton! I'm tired of that self-absorbed douchebag holding the title. I would've rather seen Cena take it off of his hands (even though I'm tired of seeing Cena with the title, too). I really wanted Hunter win the title back because let's be honest--it's time to give Triple H another good run with the title. To be REALLY honest....someone other than those three needs a run with the WWE Title. (y hello thar, Chris Jericho! Where's that title match you were demanding? Hmm? Not being given your due for returning? I hear you loud and clear.)

The match EVERYONE was buying WrestleMania for: Floyd "Money" Mayweather vs. The Big Show. Mayweather won this one. Show has a tendency to job for "real" athletes. Remember when he lost the sumo match a while back? But this was a good match, for all the hype it was getting. It was good to see Mayweather actually fighting dirty; that's how you roll in the WWE. And he won via K.O.; how ironic. (It took Show FOREVER to get up off the ground.)

And the "Main Event": Edge vs. Undertaker. I changed my vote before this match thinking, "I'd hate to think that Undertaker would break his WrestleMania winning streak with Edge, but if I was as disappointed with Orton retaining the title, I should be prepared for another disappointment." I don't know why they pushed this as the main event because the Undertaker won anyway. It was a good match, but really...like I said, 'Taker's not going to break his WM winning streak with Edge.

As far as WrestleMania goes, it was good. It wasn't GREAT, but it was good. Having it at an outdoors venue down in Orlando was a nice change. The pyrotechnics outside were nice to watch. (Anyone notice the pyros accidentally didn't go off for Shawn Michaels? And could you tell he was a little annoyed by that? Eh, shit happens.) I rolled my eyes at Kim "I'm Famous For Being Paris' Friend, Having a Fat Ass a Crappy Sex Tape" Kardashian.

We (meaning Kevin and I) went to Dan's place in New Lennox to watch. Fester went to Hooters with Ed and Boojie like we normally would. Hunter opted out, but it was a good thing he did. He got pretty sick. His...whatever it is, the doctors really don't know...is acting up again. He was puking up bloody vomit and shitting out bloody stool last night, and Dad ended up taking him to the hospital. I hope the doctors actually fucking DO something about it this time because I think they're doing nothing but sitting on their thumbs.

*tangent* Why does everyone think I've lost weight? Because I sure as hell haven't. I've GAINED, as a matter of fact. I suckered myself into buying one of those exercise DVD sets off of a TV informercial. Turbo Jam. *ha ha* I have a 60-day money back guarantee, so if it doesn't work, I'll definitely be seeing about this guarantee.
