I think I've seen this movie so many times (along with so many stage productions) that I kind of can't stand it anymore. It's not so much a bad movie, but wow. Now that I'm older, I don't like how both Danny and Sandy had to work against their own personalities to win the other back. Danny was a greaser T-Bird and reformed to be a jock. And sweet and wholesome Sandy had to slut herself up in the end to win Danny back, which reeks of desperation.

Let's also take into consideration that I always inwardly cringe whenever anyone tries to do karaoke to "Summer Nights" or "We Go Together." (Sorry, just bad show choir memories....) It's just so overdone!!

Seriously, there's not a whole lot going on over on my end. I've been working a lot, and it's been exhausting me.

Yesterday was my one day off this week. Kevin came over, and we went to Troy and Diane's house for Sandy's graduation party. She now has her bachelor's in telecommunications, and she'll be moving to Indianapolis to work for a consulting firm. When I asked her what exactly she'd be doing, Sandy said she'd pretty much be selling insurance to out-of-work and retired teachers. She even admitted that this isn't exactly her dream job, but at least it's a job and she's just saving up so she can move out to Colorado in a year and really pursue whatever it is she went to college for. It's always good to hear stuff like this. I mean, the fact that she's not moving into a cushy six-figure-earning job position immediately out of school. (I hope that doesn't sound mean!)

I'm not even jealous, really. (Okay, maybe a teensy bit because she actually finished college...) I'm proud of her that she actually stuck it out.

After that (Kevin and I didn't stay very long...there were a lot of relatives there from Diane's side of the family that I don't really know, besides Diane's sister), we ended up going to the Wine and Beer Tasting festival at Strack's. Which is the ONLY way you can get me to go to work on my day off: BOOZE. I got my fill and we went back home, and vegged and watched "Family Guy."

So that was my day off. Woo. My next day off is on Thursday, and that morning I'll have to take Bo to the vet for his annual checkup.
