Last week, Bret tested the girls' motocross skills. Kristia got eliminated; Brandi C cried. Lacey and Dallas got in a fight over "meat vs. no meat;" Dallas got eliminated and walked out with no "thanks" to Bret.

Early in this episode, Rodeo starts to feel some seperation anxiety concerning her seven-year-old boy. Read more... )

So this week, Bret decides to see if the remaining girls have any creative/musical skills, since music is his life. He divides the girls up into duos, gives them a little CD player with a instrumental version of a single from his solo album, and asks them to come up with lyrics. He divides the girls up as follows: Brandi M and Jes, Mia and Rodeo, Brandi C and Sam, Lacey/Lita and Erin, Heather and Man-Voice Magdalena.

Rodeo and Mia...might I mention that we very rarely see Mia or hear from her in the interviews. She's a brunette; that could be why. Read more... )

Heather and Man-Voice. Which is exactly what she has. A MAN'S VOICE. But they put in a good effort.

Lacey/Lita and Erin...my hate for Lacey increased with this episode. Read more... ) It's clearly obvious Lacey is there to further her own music career. I mean, here's evidence:

She's not there for Bret. I hate Lacey. She is to "Rock of Love" as Krazy was to "Flavor of Love." (Remember how everyone called Krazy out for using Flav to get her foot in the door?)

Brandi C and Sam. Sam does a lot of writing in her off-time in her journal, so she was already prepped with something for song lyrics. This is good for Brandi C, since the other half of her brain got eliminated last week (Kristia). Read more... )

Finally...Jes and Brandi M. Jes and Brandi M have a few things in common. Neither of them know how to write lyrics, and neither of them can really sing. Read more... )

The winners? It was a tie. Bret ended up choosing the Heather/Magdalena team and the Sam/Brandi C team. Read more... )</ sarcasm>

Meanwhile, back at the pad, all of the other girls are just chilling out. Then Bret comes back home with Man-Voice and Heather. They've been drinking and they're trashed. IT'S PARTY TIME! Read more... )

The next morning, Bret realizes his physical limitations are settling in at the ripe old age of 44. (Yes. He's 44. He's two years younger than my mom, and I would STILL do him.) He's hung over, wakes up in a puddle of his own drool and with no clothes on except for his underwear. (We don't get the visual...but I've got a good idea of it in my head. *evil smile on Holly's face* He's lucky his blood sugar level hasn't crashed and he hasn't gone into a diabetic coma. She hasn't won the competition yet, and she's calling him HER boyfriend. Uh, hon? HE'S DATING AROUND.Read more... )

It's a catch-22 that Bret warned us about in the first episode. You have to be used to his "rock 'n roll lifestyle" and that there WILL be groupies. Yet he wants a serious girlfriend. This is why he (and Scott Baio) are single.Read more... )

Back at the house, Rodeo is taking not winning the competition pretty hard. She doesn't want to think she used her kid to try to help win the music competition, but it was so obvious that she did. Read more... )
Brandi C put it in the most ass-way possible: "She doesn't have to cry about it. I mean, I miss my cat, but I'm not crying about it." Brandi C may be a superficial bimbo, but she has a point. Don't get into the competition if you have to make a sacrifice like that.

Elimination time. And it's a hard one for Bret. (And one that made me cheer! And left me a little surprised.)Read more... )

To close this ep, instead of toasting with beer...and since Bret's still hurting from his alcohol-induced fun the previous night, they're all drinking bottled water.

All in all...nothing but a good time. ;)
