more bitching about Beyoncé Knowles...
Jan. 19th, 2007 10:16 pmAfter his daughter, Beyonce, walked away from the Golden Globes without an award, Matthew Knowles expressed his disgust with a somewhat familiar sounding rant.
Knowles told reporters back stage at the Beverly Hills Hilton right after the Golden Globes show ended that his daughter was outcasted and overlooked by a bureaucratic good old boy system that is still alive in 2007 as it was in 1967. "Today is MLK's birthday and it saddens me to say that things have not changed for blacks. Working class blacks and blacks in Hollywood are still being discriminated against. We still have a long way to go," he said.

My thoughts? First of all...was anyone really expecting Beyoncé to win anything? It's like when Jem was nominated for the Academy Award and she didn't really "deserve it" because she wasn't a "real actress."
Second of all...concerning the Golden Globes this year...Toni Collette was robbed for the SECOND TIME, dammit. First, Angelina Jolie took her Oscar for Girl, Interrupted (Come on, Angelina plays a weirdo psychopath in a mental institution? What an acting stretch THAT must've been.), and I love Meryl Streep and all, but really, she has enough awards.
Thirdly...uh, Jennifer Hudson's not black enough for ya, Matthew? How about Forrest Whittacre? How about, oh, EDDIE MURPHY? *pfft* What a douche.
