Sep. 4th, 2006 04:36 pmI was watching the Travel Channel earlier this morning. There was some special on about the best amusement parks of 2006, and it struck me. I didn't get to go out and have much fun at all this summer. I went to the beach one day with Kevin, and that was about it. Most of the summer was spent working my ass off to get out of debt. And even if I had requested days off for vacation, it would've conflicted with all of the stupid request-offs that Crystal put in.
So I have a goal. Next summer, I aim to hit a couple of amusement parks that I've really been wanting to go to:
--Cedar Point out in Sandusky, Ohio
--Mount Olympus in Wisconsin Dells (I haven't been to the Dells in ages)
--or quite possibly, I can start saving up now so by the time I graduate, I can treat myself to a trip to Walt Disney World
In other news, Steve Irwin died today of freaky accidental causes: he was stung in the chest by a stingray. It's sad, but it looked like it was just his day to die. Godspeed, Crocodile Hunter. Jam a thumb up a croc's butt up in heaven for me.
