well THIS is an inconvenience

If we are lucky, they'll be in by tomorrow. IF. Probably not, since they got routed all the way down to KENTUCKY. HOW THE HELL DID THIS HAPPEN?!!!
And even if they came in tomorrow during my 9 to 5 shift, I'll be shit out of luck because my bank closes at NOON. And even if the checks come in Monday, it STILL won't help matters much because Monday is LABOR DAY. The banks are closed on Labor Day.
Fucking assholes in payroll can't get their heads out of their butts to correct a major screwup. ARGH. I was going to take that money, cash it in, go to Chase and open up a new checking/savings account, for crying out loud. I was going to go shoe shopping. I was going to go clothes shopping with Mom. I had PLANS this weekend, dammit, and now I can't do shit because I DON'T HAVE MY FUCKING PAYCHECK. And I know I'll get the lecture, "If you were on direct deposit, you wouldn't have to worry about this." I have no plans to resign up for direct deposit. I like to have my paycheck in my hand when I go to the bank to deposit it.
I'm not happy. And no one else at work is happy about this, either. And no, taking $20 out of petty cash to "last us till we get our checks" isn't going to make me feel any better. I WANT MY FUCKING PAYCHECK. And I want it NOW.
