meh...just meh

I voted. There. I did it. Now the schmucks at MTV can quit bugging me to "rock the vote" or whatever shit it is.

This is probably the most hyped-up election there is. This has probably been the most turbulent four years the country has been through. It's either going to be the country's biggest joke, or the country's greatest hope.

OH NO I DIDN'T...(oh yes I did, I guess!)

Let's set the scene. Mom and I are going though some family pictures. We run across some from the last trip we took to Disney World. There's a picture of me with two girls about my age that I don't remember. One looks kind of like me before I hit puberty (like a little sister or something) and the other's blonde, blue-eyed and cute.

Me: This picture here near Star Tours...who are those other two girls I'm with?
Mom: Didn't you go on the ride with them? *thinks* They were on some show that they filmed at the Disney MGM Studios, remember?
Me: Oh, yeah...the Mickey Mouse Club, I think.
Mom: They look kind of young for the Mickey Mouse Club.
Me: That's because I think they were the youngest ones on...*realizes who they are* OH MY GOD. Mom, you know who those two are, right?!
Mom: Should I?

I didn't even really think about it until now because the Mickey Mouse Club met nothing to me back then. But I met Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears before they were famous.
