small update...more hit and miss
Jun. 13th, 2004 11:29 pmHad a bit of a revelation regarding The Darkest Hour. (I don't know why I bother making note of this, since no one has read it yet. I'm pretty much just talking to myself here.) I need to get on the ball and just turn it into a webcomic already! I've just had no real motivation to do any art/drawing lately. This is sad. *le sigh* I got some helpful motivation from Matt (Ami's hubby). He said to just try to draw something every day to help get back on track. It was cool that he asked. He asked if I did much art anymore because he remembered the stuff I did back in high school and liked it (that was flattering to hear anyway).
The Chronicles of Riddick was okay, if you like Vin Diesel. Franky--and this is my opinion--he isn't much of an actor; he just has a hot body but an ugly face, and the acting he does do isn't very deep, and all he does are high-action movies that involve fast cars or fast something, anyway. Kevin and I kept making smart-assed comments throughout the whole thing.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was good. I liked Alfonso Cuaron's take on it. Towards the end, it reminded me of Back To The Future, and this is just me talking, but it makes a little more sense to me when you see it being put into action (regarding time-travel stuff). And if you didn't read the books, I think you catch on rather easily. (Zero's never read the books, and he understood what was going to happen.) I had a good time with him tonight; we need to do that again. :)
Tomorrow is my interview at Starbucks. I could use a second job. Tomorrow after that, since I will be near the mall, I can use my gift card at Victoria's Secret! Even better, tomorrow is the start of their semi-annual sale, so there are going to be some majorly discounted stuff! *squeals in joy* I can't help it--fancy lingerie excites me.
In celebrity birthdays....Happy birthday to Rivers Cuomo!
And the most anticipated day for lots of men in this country...happy eighteenth birthday to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. *thumbs up* YOU'RE LEGAL NOW!!
