the FCC are douchebags
Feb. 25th, 2004 09:14 pmFirst, Mancow is getting slapped with a fine for something he did a few years ago that he can't even remember and isn't even being informed about. Now Clear Channel is suspending Howard Stern's radio show? You know, we have Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake and the boob incident to thank for this. Whatever happened to freedom of speech in this country? Now we're pretty much being censored. This is complete and utter bullshit, and it goes against pretty much everything I stand for.
Man, I really hope I get that one job I applied for. It'd give me more of a platform to fight this sort of thing.
So I got trained a little more at work today. I work at Spencer's tomorrow. I think holding down both jobs is going to work out.
I got started on a workout program that I can stick to pretty well. It's a mix of ballet, pilates and yoga two times a week, and kickboxing two other days of the week. All I have to do now is really start taking into account my diet. I think I do need to start watching what I eat. I'm not the sort of person to obsessively diet, but maybe I can just cut corners somewhere. My problem is portion control. I'm just so used to eating quickly (due to the years and years of having only a fifteen or twenty-minute lunch break forced upon us in public schools) and feeling the need to clean my plate. That, and whenever there is food in the house, you eat what you can before Hunter gets his grubby paws on it and devours it. *arrgh*
Mom heard that Prince is going on tour again, and he's going to make a stop in Chicago. She and I are seriously contemplating getting tickets to see him live. If she doesn't get to go, I at least want to go. We rented Purple Rain the other day. Stupid movie, but strangely alluring. (I thought Appolonia was a stupid 'ho. But oh well.)
