more of the 30-Day Disney meme
When I'm done with this, then I'll tackle the music one. I hate to get all Disney'd out before Tangled is in theaters.
Day #19: Your least favorite Pixar film
Cars. I'm sorry, I just had a hard time getting into it. The backgrounds were beautiful, but....okay, I can see how a little kid could get into talking cars with personalities, but as an adult, I had a hard time suspending my disbelief.
Day #20: Favorite sequel
I generally avoid the straight-to-video sequels, but The Return of Jafar was pretty awesome. And like I said, out of all the Toy Story movies, the second one was my favorite.
Day #21: An overrated movie
Cars. Like I said, I just had a hard time buying it, and I thought it was overly hyped up. But from what I've heard, Cars generated (and still does generate) lots of money from merchandising for Disney/Pixar. Which is why I think is why that particular movie is getting the sequel treatment and an entire land devoted to it at Disney California Adventure. (That, and John Lasseter is a car-nut IRL. That movie held a lot of sentimental value for him to make, apparently.)
Day #22: An underrated movie
The Rescuers.
Wow, Glen Keane worked on this one, too?! He's been with Disney longer than I thought!
And I've read the books. The movie is nothing like the books, but I think the movie is more endearing than the books. And Penny is so sweet yet so pitiful, you feel so bad for her and just want to give her a hug. (So much love for Eva Gabor!)
Day #23: A movie that makes you laugh
Day #24: A movie that makes you cry
Day #25: Your favorite scene from your favorite movie
Day #26: Saddest death
Day #27: Your favorite quote
Day #28: Your favorite theme park
Day #29: Your favorite theme attraction
Day #30: Your favorite theme park show
