I was supposed to work a four-to-closing shift today, and it looks like I'm getting called in early today because Jenn's not feeling very good. Mom says there's a case of bronchitis going around, and I am NOT good with respiratory illness like that.

Oh well. Not like I was going to see SummerSlam tonight at Hooter's anyway. Can't afford it. I think I'll call Dan or Kevin from work to get the update.

Speaking of which, I think I'm going to give up on WWE for a while. I haven't been able to watch like I used to, and when I do get around to watching...I'm sorry (no wait, I'm not sorry), but it truly has gotten extremely CRAPPY to watch. This whole thing with Kane/Lita/Matt Hardy is unbelievable and creepy. I don't like the introduction of Eugene (it's Zach Gowan all over again), and the Diva Search makes me incredibly pissed off. The contract pisses me off the most; not ONE of the current Divas were signed on for $250,000 to start off with, and none of these Diva wannabes can actually wrestle. And since Carmella seems to be the favorite, if she wins, I'll smell some connections involved with that. (For those of you who are in the know, WWE has their associations with Playboy, and Carmella just HAPPENS to be the current Playmate of the Year. How convenient.)

Got email back from Dan about who won what at SummerSlam.

Randy Orton now has the World Heavyweight Championship. I hate that asshole. I hate Evolution (although I'm glad Triple H won against Eugene; I hate where that storyline is headed). I think they kind of just gave it to Orton and they should have made him wait longer before winning it.

I just want Steve Austin, The Rock and Hulk Hogan to come back, dammit. Then maybe I'll be more inclined to watch.

But Dan seemed pleasantly surprised that I called him up for an update on who was winning what. I never call him; that's why. I just got tired of waiting around for friends online.
